La Loche Friendship Centre Celebrates Grand Opening
With financial support from Cameco, the new La Loche Friendship Centre opened on September 8, 2016 and continues to make a positive difference in the local community.
Today, the La Loche Friendship Centre celebrated the grand opening of its new building. Designed to be a key hub in the community, the new building features a kitchen, offices, computer room and meeting hall.
Cameco is proud to help make a difference in this northern Saskatchewan community by providing financial support for construction of the Friendship Centre’s new building.
The La Loche Friendship Centre was established in 1998 and has grown to become an integral part of the local community. With nine staff members delivering social, family and youth support to the local community and beyond, the Friendship Centre provides the following programming:
- Community employment development
- Family support
- Family in-home support
- Strengthening families program
- Youth intervention
- Community justice
